Refunds & Returns Policy – Ashleigh Ritchie Visual Artist

I want you to feel confident and happy when purchasing my artwork. Every piece is made and packaged with care, but sometimes things don’t go as planned. This policy explains how refunds, returns, and exchanges are handled.

Your rights

As a New Zealand customer, you are covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. That means:

  • If an artwork or product is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

  • These rights apply regardless of anything written here.

Change of mind

Because each artwork is original and often one-of-a-kind, I generally can’t accept returns if you simply change your mind. Prints and products are also made in limited runs, so I encourage you to choose carefully.

If you are unsure about a piece before purchasing, please feel free to contact me and I’ll happily provide extra photos, details, or a video so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Damaged or faulty items

If something arrives damaged or isn’t what you expected, please get in touch within 7 days of receiving your order. Send an email to info@ashleighritchie.co.nz with your order number, a description, and photos of the issue.

Together we’ll find the best solution, which may be a refund, exchange, or repair depending on the situation.

Refund process

  • Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method.

  • Please allow a few working days for the payment to appear, as banks and payment providers process at different speeds.

Returns shipping

If a return is agreed, I’ll let you know how to package and send the item. In most cases where the item is faulty or damaged, I will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
