To begin your commission journey, complete the contact form below or email Ashleigh directly. Whether you have a clear vision or just an idea you’d love to explore, Ashleigh will guide you through the possibilities with warmth and care.
If your request aligns with Ashleigh’s style and current schedule, she’ll arrange a consultation—by phone, video call, or email—to learn more about your story. Together, you’ll discuss subject matter, size, tones, and the personal meaning you’d like the piece to hold.
Following your consultation, Ashleigh will provide a formal quote. To confirm your booking and secure a place in her calendar, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. This ensures mutual commitment and allows the creative process to begin with intention.
Each artwork is created over a period of 4–8 weeks, with time taken to layer texture, depth, and detail. Ashleigh can share a progress glimpse if you’d like, though many clients prefer to wait and let the final reveal be part of the magic.
Once your artwork is complete, the remaining 50% balance is due. Paintings are sealed with a protective archival varnish and prepared for safe shipping or collection. Delivery can be arranged anywhere in New Zealand or internationally.

While she welcomes reference imagery for inspiration, her work is not an exact photographic reproduction. Instead, she focuses on capturing the essence and personality of the subject—infusing each piece with warmth, vibrancy, and emotional connection. The result is a timeless artwork that feels both personal and true to her artistic voice.
Due to the nature of Ashleigh’s process and the slow, layered technique she uses, revisions are not typically possible once the painting is underway. Alterations can disrupt the integrity and flow of the work, so the initial consultation is a vital step in the commissioning process. This is when subject, palette, scale, and sentiment are fully discussed to ensure you are confident in the vision before the first brushstroke begins.
If you choose to cancel after work has begun, the deposit will be retained. Should Ashleigh need to cancel for any reason, your deposit will be refunded in full.
