Hey there, and welcome! I’m Ashleigh, a qualified North Canterbury artist with a love for all things creative and colorful. My artistic journey began in 2012 with a Bachelor of Applied Visual Arts at Ara Institute of Canterbury (CPIT). By 2014, I was honored with the FRIENDS of the Christchurch Art Gallery Scholarship for excellence in my studies—such an exciting start to my career!

I’m an active member of Arts Canterbury, the Rangiora Art Society, and the Ashburton Society of Arts, and I’ve had the privilege of exhibiting my work in their art shows throughout 2023-2024. Right now, you can catch my latest pieces at Linwood Arts - Eastside Gallery. Most recently, I was awarded Best in Show 2023 at the Rangiora Art Society Spring Exhibition and Best Panel 2024 at the Kaiapoi Art Expo—what a thrill!

While my studies specialized in intaglio and sculpture, I’ve since developed a deep love for portraiture. Lately, I’ve been experimenting with oil on panel, striving to create intimate and vibrant portraits of those who are close to me.
